Inaugurates new Corporate Office in Mumbai

Emirates Logistics, a leading freight and supply chain company based in Dubai, is focusing on the high-potential Indian logistics industry with a mission to be a dominant player as it expands its operation and network in all major business districts in India.

While on a visit to start the new Corporate Office in Mumbai, Johan Bergwerff, MD, Emirates Logistics Global, said, “India is one of the fastest growing economies and probably the most potential country for the logistics industry at the moment. At this historic moment when India has adopted GST and made the entire country as one market, Emirates Logistics does not want to miss out on this ripe moment.” Though Emirates Logistics’ parent company (Samsara Group/Sharaf Group) has been operating for many decades in India in the areas of shipping, rail freight, container terminal, airline GSA, etc., Emirates Logistics will focus on both First mile and Last mile logistics along with warehousing and supply chain. In fact, they will be a 3rd party solution for all the logistics needs of customers.

Emirates Logistics comes with a proven capability of successful operations with global giants like IKEA, Unilever, DAIKIN, Adidas, etc. and is confident of creating relationships with many big brands in India.

As of today, the company operates from 15 offices in India with its own CHA licence, has experienced and professional staff for freight forwarding and supply chain management, Project Handling Team, and Group-owned offices in more than 50 countries, along with credible partners around the world, which makes it a very appealing proposition for the customer. The company also has its own packaging and design division.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to expand our vision for Emirates Logistics office and grow our talent pool,” said Mr Anant Pandirkar, Country Head for Freight and Logistics. “The new Corporate Office location is in the centre of Greater Mumbai city and is very close to the airports and metro stations, which makes it very convenient for customers and employees.”

Country Head for Supply Chain Mr Amit Srivastava has a vision of putting 3 million sq. ft of storage space over a period of 2 years. The company has designed and developed tools which allow the customer to operate warehouses virtually on the click of a mouse. Currently, Emirates Logistics runs a multi-client Logistics Centre in Chennai and is setting up state-of-the-art warehouses in Bhiwandi, Gurgaon and Bangalore in Q1, followed by 20 smart cities in India by FY 2018. This division will offer a complete suite of integrated Logistics and Supply Chain requirements for Warehousing, Free Trade Zone and Distribution services under a single window.
