[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The much-delayed Rewas port, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, 10 km south of JN Port, will be developed by the Central government, Mr Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Shipping, said here earlier this week.
The facility, a project of Reliance Logistics & Ports Pvt. Ltd (the logistics unit of Reliance Industries Ltd), was supposed to commence operations in 2010. Reliance Logistics & Ports has a 55 per cent stake in Rewas Port Ltd, the company that was formed to develop and operate the deep-draught, all-weather port, it is learnt.
It is now proposed to be developed by JNPT, MbPT and Maharashtra Maritime Board.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
