Technology-enabled logistics firm Rivigo is on its way to increasing its team of professionals by nearly 50 per cent to 3,200 in the next six-eight months.
In order to become a tech intelligent logistic company, Rivigo is focused on hiring algorithm trading professionals as well as artificial intelligence (AI) talent as it believes automation and machine learning will increase efficiency, lower cost and bring reliability.
“We are setting up a whole AI team here, and we are taking in Vibhanshu Abhishek, Professor of Data and AI at US based Carnegie Mellon University.
“We are building a team of 3,200 people. We have already started hiring. We are also building our sales and distribution team,” Rivigo Co-Founder Gazal Kalra told PTI.
The company has already inducted over 40 algorithm background engineers to maintain its edge over the others as the best technology platform and is planning to hire more aggressively in this regard.
Rivigo, founded in 2015, has a fleet of 3000 commercial vehicles and is set to increase the number this year.
