Flags off maiden container train service from ICD Loni, Uttar Pradesh to Hindalco Industries Limited’s plant in Mahan, Madhya Pradesh
Loni, India, March 26, 2018: Global trade enabler DP World operated Container Rail Road Service (CRRS) in partnership with leading freight forwarder Pinkcity Logistics, flagged off their maiden train service from ICD Loni, Uttar Pradesh to Hindalco Industries Limited’s plant in Mahan, Madhya Pradesh. The new service aims to enhance connectivity from the hinterland to Gateway ports by carrying empty export containers to link containerized export cargo from the plant to the ships arriving at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT).
DP World Intermodal and Pinkcity Logistics have been partners in the logistics supply chain and have been handling container rail movement from Hindalco’s plant at Renukoot, Eastern Uttar Pradesh. This new alliance has further strengthened their long-standing relationship.
Mr. Rajat Duneja, COO – CRRS, Mr. Ajay Khera, Group President – Worlds Window Group and Mr. Ratul Banarjee, Vice President – Pink City Logistics, flagged off this train. Other dignitaries present were Mr. Mohit Shrivastav, Branch Manager – Delhi NCR, Pinkcity Logistics, Mr. Dhirendra Kishore, Vice President – World Window Group, Mr. Amit Parashar, Regional Manager – CRRS, Mr. Sunil Dutt, CRRS and Mr. Sachin Kumar, CRRS.
