OOCL has registered an impressive all-round performance for the first quarter of 2018 (ended March 31, 2018), which portends a good beginning for container shipping this year.
Total volumes were up 7.5 per cent from the same period last year, while total revenues increased by 16.3 per cent to $ 1,378.6 million.
Loadable capacity increased by 16 per cent and the overall load factor was 6.4 per cent lower than the same period of 2017. However, overall average revenue per TEU increased by 8.3 per cent compared to the first quarter of last year.
