December 7, 2020: GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo (GHAC) will be a key stake holder in global vaccine logistics with facilities like temperature-controlled GDP certified facility. The terminal is fitted with different temperature zones from -20 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius and state-of-the-art equipment and cool containers to meet the unique specifications of the product, said the spokesman for the Hyderabad airport.
The freighter parking stands are only 50 metres from the terminal, thereby reducing the timing of ramp visibility and ensuring the aircraft’s rapid turnaround. The airport also introduced the new cool dollies recently to remove any temperature excursions and to keep the cool chain unbroken. The GHAC also boasts one of India’s largest cool container storage facilities such Envirotainer, c-safe, unicooler, and vacutainer within its premises to ensure 24/7 customers have access to the facility.
