Global container terminal operator PSA International has reported a 1.7% increase in container volumes for its terminals around the world, with its Singapore facility handling 36.6 million TEU, a decrease of 0.9% as its overseas terminals outperformed the flagship port.

PSA’s terminals outside of Singapore handled 50 million TEU, a 3.7% year-on-year increase in throughput, taking the total volumes for 2020 to 86.6 million TEU.

Tan Chong Meng, Group CEO at PSA, said that this year, “Gives us the opportunity to Reset and Reform, as a business and as individuals. The way companies and consumers engage, transact and collaborate has evolved at lightning quick pace, and meanwhile, the climate crisis gains urgency. PSA will continue to invest and innovate on solutions to improve supply chain transparency and to create possibilities for smarter resource efficiencies. Our goal is to move the world’s goods, for the greater good.”
