The trade of natural rubber between Tripura and Nepal started last week with the movement of first truck consignment to eastern Nepal that was flagged off by the Rubber Board. Usually Nepal imports raw rubber from Malaysia and Vietnam but Manimalayar Rubbers Pvt Ltd, the marketing arm of Rubber Board of India, in collaboration with a Biratnagar company has imported 18 MT rubber in the maiden consignment from Tripura.
