Chhattisgarh exports herbal gulal to European Union

Herbal gulal manufactured in Chattisgarh is being exported to the European Union through the Mundra Port. On Saturday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel flagged off a cargo truck of herbal ‘gulal’ to be exported to European Union.

Shri Ganesha Global Gulal Pvt Ltd has provided the technical guidance to women self-help group Sakhi Cluster Organization at Anjora in Rajnandgaon and Kumkum Mahila Gram Sangathan at Sankara in Durg for preparing the gulal.

Nearly 23,000 kg of herbal gulal worth Rs 41,95,302 is being exported to Europe through Mundra port in Gujarat.

Shri Ganesha Global Gulal Director Anuj Goyal along with office bearers of women self-help groups were present at the ceremony. On February 18, a MoU was inked between Shri Ganesha Global Gulal and the Directorate of Horticulture and Farm Forestry in Chhattisgarh for the preparation of herbal gulal from marigold flowers. The marigold is cultivated at the gauthans.
