On 26.05.2022, the first Cape Size vessel, ‘MV Cape Breeze’ with Length of 292 Metres, Breadth of 45.05 Metres and DWT of 1,80,000 Tonnes, was berthed at the Port.
The cape-size vessel loaded with 92,300 Tonnes of Lime Stone, consigned from Port of Salalah, Oman, with arrival draft of 11.4 Metres. was berthed at Berth-9. The entire import of Lime Stone and Gypsum are meant for M/s. Eastern Bulk Trading & Shipping Private Limited. The Stevedore for the above vessel is Sea Port Logistics P Ltd. and the Steamer Agent is Seaport Shipping Pvt Ltd.
Earlier, on 22.01.2015, a Capesize vessel MV.’LAKE D’ carrying 1,77,068 Tonnes of Iron ore with a draught of 18.34m was nominated to the Port to lighten 6,000 tonnes of Iron ore at Anchorage using floating crane.
