India’s leading commercial electric vehicle maker Altigreen today inaugurated its brand-new retail experience centre in Ahmedabad. This is the company’s seventh retail dealership in India in a span of 2 months. As per the company, the experience centre will allow EV enthusiasts to access Altigreen’s range of electric cargo vehicles. For the partnership, Altigreen opted to go with Garnet Motors (Green) Pvt. Ltd – one of the most reliable and experienced names in Gujarat. The Altigreen Retail Experience Centre is located in Sarkhej, Ahmedabad.

The Gujarat government, through its EV policy incentives, is one of the leading states in India marching towards the nation’s goal of electrification of mobility. For the uninitiated, the Gujarat government’s policy for EV charging infrastructure provides 25% capital subsidy on equipment/machinery (limited up to Rs. 10 lakhs per station) for the first 250 commercial public EV charging stations for 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers. The State Government promises to exempt 100% electricity duty of EV charging stations till 2025. In addition to that, the State Distribution Licensees (DisComs) will allow charging of EVs from the existing connection of a consumer at the existing tariff.
