Bangladesh – China ink MoU to promote bilateral trade

They will strengthen cooperation in infrastructural connectivity, biopharmaceuticals, clean energy, agricultural sector.

Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) aiming to explore further opportunities for bilateral trade and investments.

The agreement calls for establishing friendly and cooperative relations, support trade and investment promotion activities, said a press release.

The MoU was signed between CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang and BCCCI Secretary General Mr Al Mamun Mridha at BCCCI office on Saturday.

Under the agreement, BCCCI and CCPIT will explore new thrust areas by strengthening cooperation in infrastructural connectivity, biopharmaceuticals, clean energy, agricultural sector along with investment and financing to encourage and facilitate the business communities of both the countries in line with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Emphasis would also be given to strengthening collaboration and exchanges in commercial, and legal services, assisting business communities to better understand the national trade and investment environment, laws and regulations.
