Mahesana (Gujarat)-based Axita Cotton, one of the leading raw cotton manufacturers and exporters has secured a major order worth US $ 3.28 million (about Rs. 26.92 crore) from Bangladesh for the supply of raw cotton. The order comprises shipments of raw cotton over the next three months. A well-known Bangladeshi textile company that is renowned for its dedication to quality and on-time delivery made the order.
The company informed that this huge order is in addition to the existing orders from Bangladesh. It also produces cotton bales and cotton seeds. The company already supplies materials to several European and Eastern markets including China and Vietnam.
Kushal Nitinbhai Patel, MD of the company said that the focus on innovation and sustainability has helped the company to maintain its position as a leading raw cotton manufacturer and exporter.
He further added that this is a significant milestone for the company and it is also expecting some more orders of Yarn from the European and Far East market.
The company is involved in the manufacture and trade of cotton seed, cotton seed oil, cotton cake, etc. Cotton is among the top three items among other products that India exported to Bangladesh in FY22.
