According to separate notifications issued by Chittagong Port and the Chittagong Customs House, both organisations have confirmed that they will maintain their operations during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays from 27th June to 1st July.

In regard to the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha holidays, Chittagong Port Authority Secretary Omor Faruk has emphasised that the port will maintain its operations without any exceptions.

While container handling and delivery operations will be temporarily closed for eight hours during the morning of Eid-ul-Azha, ship berthing activities will continue uninterrupted at the jetty throughout that period.

After the Eid day afternoon, the port will resume full operation, ensuring the seamless flow of activities. As per a directive issued recently, the Chittagong Customs House has assigned the responsibility of duty collection during the Eid-ul-Azha vacation, spanning from 27th June to 1st July, to revenue officers.

These officers, supervised by six Deputy Commissioners and one Assistant Commissioner, will diligently carry out their duties during this period.

Private inland container depots in Chittagong will be closed for 34 hours from 12 am on 29th June to 10 am on 30th June, as per the Bangladesh Inland Container Depots Association.
