KSH Distriparks Announced an impressive 25% surge in import value for 2023, marked by an 8% rise in TEUs compared to the previous year
– KSH Distriparks further anticipated 11-12% growth in the coming fiscal year
KSH Distriparks, a leading logistics service provider specialising in container logistics solutions, has announced a remarkable 8% growth in container volumes, recording 74,150 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent units) for the fiscal year 2022-2023 compared to the previous year’s 68,209 TEUs.
The key highlight of this growth is the substantial increase in import volume share, soaring to around 25%. The acquisition of new customers, especially from the automotive and white goods sectors played a crucial role in fueling the business performance. With the growing demand, the company further anticipated 11-12% growth in the coming fiscal year, reflecting its unwavering commitment to excellence, strategic customer expansion, and operational efficiency.
Operational efficiency has been a crucial point for KSH Distriparks, evident in the strategic revamping of the yard, leading to an increase in container storage capacity. The introduction of 40-foot lightweight trailers has further fortified the fleet capacity, particularly in the lightweight segment. The newly introduced SOC Container Storage product has played a pivotal role in enhancing throughput handling capacity.
Mr. Malcolm D’Souza, CCO of KSH Distriparks, commented, “2023 was a record year for us in several areas. At KSH Distriparks, we look forward to sustaining this momentum in the coming year, therefore we plan to implement additional measures for efficiency and capacity enhancement. We are currently in the planning stages for a new empty yard, which aims to increase storage capacity and promises faster Turnaround Time (TAT) for empty containers. The fleet capacity is also in line for expansion, incorporating approximately 60 new 40-foot trailers.”
