Capt. Alpesh Abhay Sharma has joined JM Baxi Group and will be heading the container business as the Chief Operating Officer. His earlier stint was with DP World where he worked for nearly 13 years, handling multiple key roles across India and Southeast Asia. His impressive portfolio includes positions such as CEO for NSICT, CEO for LCIT Terminals in Thailand, CEO for Thailand, and VP Commercial (Ports and Terminals) for South East Asia. He has also served on various boards in DP World Subcon and DP World APAC. His extensive background includes leadership positions at Maersk Line (India) and OOCL (India) as Country Head for Operations.
His profound understanding of container terminal operations and the commercial landscape will be instrumental in driving growth and creating opportunities for business at JM Baxi.
In his role, Alpesh will report directly to Mr. Dhruv Kotak, Group Managing Director and will work closely with teams to enhance operations and drive revenue growth. He will assume overall responsibility for container business within J M Baxi Ports & Logistics, overseeing Sales and Operations efficiency of container terminals of the business, including ICD, CFS, and Rail. His leadership will be instrumental in steering strategic initiatives and ensuring the group remains at the forefront of industry innovation.
