Major expressways in Bihar including Patna-Purnea Expressway, Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway, Bodhgaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Darbhanga stretches and additional 2-lane bridge over river Ganga at Buxar has been finalised in the budget 2024-25. These projects are a part of Rs.50,000 Cr announced for the state. Financial assistance will be provided for the Kosi river – Mechi river intra state link.
Besides roads, on the Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor, the union government will support development of an industrial node at Gaya.
Coming down south, The Union government Budget 2024-25 has made provision for converting highways connecting Bengaluru to Hyderabad into 12 lane expressways.
