One of the money exchange shops at the Petrapol border says, each of such shops at the border has stacks of Taka but no takers for them. On an average day about 70 people visit these money exchangers, but since the protest started the business is almost zero.

The money exchangers convert Indian rupees to Bangladeshi Taka (current exchange rate: 70 Taka for Rs 100) and also exchange Dollars at the border for both Indians visiting Bangladesh and vice-versa. Meanwhile, the movement of goods vehicles through Petrapole land port is expected to start from Thursday.
