Five lighthouses being developed in Odisha for tourism

Five new lighthouses are being developed in the state of Odisha, which are among the 75 such tourism spots being developed across the country.

Union govt has already developed the necessary infrastructure at lighthouses at Gopalpur in Ganjam district, Puri and Chandrabhaga in Puri district, Paradip in Jagatsinghpur and Falsepoint in Kendrapada district. The lighthouse at Chandrabhaga is near the konark Sun temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lifts are being installed at the lighthouses for facilitating the tourists. Tourists use country boats to reach the lighthouses. A bridge is being proposed over the Nasi river at Kharinashi to connect the lighthouse to the mainland.
