Imports, exports via Birgunj transit point decline

 According to the Customs Office, Birgunj, commodities worth Rs. 143 billion were imported in the first three months of the current fiscal year.

Over the first three months of the current fiscal year, there has been a decrease in both imports and exports via the Birgunj transit point.

 According to the Customs Office, Birgunj, commodities worth Rs. 143 billion were imported in the first three months of the current fiscal year, a 6.43 percent decrease from the same period previous year. The same period last year saw the importation of products valued at Rs. 153 billion.

Similarly, Birgunj has exported items valued at Rs 7.7 billion during the past three months. In the same time frame previous year, exports totaled Rs. 8 billion.
