Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar officially opened the checkpoint.

The Darranga initiative aims to use digital technologies to create new avenues for social and economic interaction with neighboring nations.

Modern resources are being introduced by the Land Ports Authority of India to improve security and transform border trade. With features including automated storage, online parking reservations, and expedited regulatory approvals, the Land Port Management System (LPMS) will digitize Land Port operations.

This enhances passenger and cargo safety in addition to increasing operating efficiency. According to Bandi Sanjay, developing land ports opens the door for multimodal connectivity and goes beyond merely facilitating road transportation.

In order to increase trade capacity with neighboring nations, the LPAI seeks to combine interstate waterways and railroads with roadways. In order to lower logistics costs in the long run, attempts are being made to combine land, rail, and waterways to guarantee a constant flow of goods and services across borders. According to Bandi Sanjay, the government’s goal of placing in the top 25 nations in the Logistics Performance Index by 2030 is supported by today’s program.
