As part of its expansion strategy for 2025, Arkas Line is expanding its service network and breaking into new markets. The corporation is expanding its international reach by adding a route to India, following the addition of additional routes to its worldwide maritime network with America and Red Sea lines.
Beginning on February 10, 2025, the new service, known as “India Med Service (IMS),” will operate four vessels with a combined capacity of 2,500–2,800 TEU. By June 2025, there will be five vessels in this service, which will still run once a week. The following ports will be covered by the “India Med Service (IMS)” route: Ambarli, Evyap, Aliaga, Mersin, Aqaba, Jeddah, NhavaSheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Aqaba, Alexandria, and Ambarli.
The business would also make it easier for clients to move their goods to important trading hubs in India’s interior by using rail links from the ports of Mundra and Nhava Sheva. The Mediterranean service network will undergo a reorganization with the introduction of the new “India Med Service (IMS)” line. Arkas Line has made decision to combine its current SEM (Spain-East Med), EMS (East Med Morocco Service), and GPS (Great Pendulum Service) services. The company hopes to fortify its Mediterranean network with a more effective and all-encompassing service structure by launching the new “Blue Med Service (BMS)”.
The “Blue Med Service (BMS)” will strengthen Arkas Line’s presence in the area by having all of its vessels operated by the company. Alexandria – Beirut – Lattakia – Mersin – Aliaga – Genoa – La Spezia – Tangier – Casablanca – Valencia – Barcelona – Fos Sur Mer – Genoa – La Spezia – Salerno – Alexandria will be the new Mediterranean route. Arkas Line will operate in 27 countries and provide 33 services across 72 ports with the debut of the India Service.
