Afcons Infra secures contract from Hindustan Gateway

Shapoorji Pallonji Group firm Afcons Infrastructure Ltd said it has secured a major project with the receipt of a letter of award (LOA) from Hindustan Gateway Container Terminal Kandla Private Ltd, a group entity of DP World. The company will be responsible for the design and construction of the marine package for the container terminal at Tuna Tekra (Package-1) in Gujarat. The contract, valued at Rs 1,283 crore excluding GST, will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The project is expected to be completed within 29 months.

Last week, Afcons Infrastructure said the company has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for constructing the Pune Ring Road (East) Packages PRR E5 and E7, awarded by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MSRDC). The project involves developing an access-controlled road in Pune, with a total bid project cost of Rs 4,787.20 crore, excluding GST. The construction will be executed under the EPC mode, with a completion timeline of 36 months.
