IIFF to start second batch for logistics course from June 2017

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After successfully completing the first batch of distance learning programme for Logistics including shipping and freight forwarding course, Indian Institute of Freight Forwarding (IIFF), which is the training wing of Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI), has announced the second batch for the same course.
It is pertinent to mention that in view of the tremendous shortage of trained manpower for freight forwarding and logistics industry in the country, FFFAI initiated a training establishment for Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders & Logistics companies, by setting up IIFF in 2004.
Commenting on the crucial role being played by IIFF in respect of skill development, Mr Tej Contractor, President, IIFF observed, “There is an urgent need of starting massive skill development initiatives from all quarters.  FFFAI participates in Skill Development within the industry through its Training Arm IIFF to upgrade skill within the industry and enable new participants from outside of the Industry to gain domain knowledge. This is done through 1) Work Shops;  2)  Diploma course in Logistics, Shipping and Freight Forwarding – Classroom and  3)  Diploma course in Logistics, Shipping and Freight Forwarding – Distance Learning.”
The IIFF-FIATA Diploma in Logistics, Shipping and Freight Forwarding consists of a set of specialised modules and content  that applies directly to the different areas of work related to customs, freight forwarding, sea, air, road, rail transport and logistics business.

Course Highlights:
• No Classroom Sessions
• A crash Course of 5 days will be offered to students before exams
• Periodic Assignments
• Indian and Global students may apply
• Online learning portal
• Final Exams will be conducted in Mumbai and other locations
The course fees will be INR 30000/- + Service Tax as applicable. An Additional Swiss Francs 150 + Service tax will be applicable for FIATA certificate after successful completion of the course.
