A digital platform is being developed that will enable quick exchange of information between India and UAE ports.
This is part of the initiative to develop the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor. The platform is expected to be ready within the first 100 days of Modi 3.0 government.
While the Red Sea crisis had temporarily slowed down the pace of the project, but a strong commitment by the G7 nations has driven the project ahead which will de-risk supply chains and speed up cargo movement. a major attraction of the initiative is common ports and Customs documentation across countries including India, UAE, Jordan and Israel. Once the corridor is ready goods can be shipped from Indian ports to Haifa in 48 hours.
