The Abu Dhabi-based ports group has created a joint venture with the French container line to operate a terminal in Point Noire. Through its subsidiary CMA Terminals, the AD Ports Group and the CMA CGM Group have inked a shareholders’ agreement to jointly develop, manage, and run the New East Mole multipurpose facility in Pointe Noire, Congo-Brazzaville.

In June 2023, AD Ports Group was granted a concession that might be extended for another 30 years. The East Mole multifunctional port at the Port of Pointe Noire will be developed, managed, and run by a joint venture between AD Ports Group and the CMA CGM Group, which AD Ports Group owns the majority of. At the largest Atlantic port in Central West Africa, the terminal will handle containers, general, break-bulk, and other kinds of goods.
