[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Adani Logistics Ltd has setup a multimodal logistics park at Kila Raipur of Ludhiana district in Punjab. The facility will support double stack train services to gateway port of Mundra and Pipavav. It is already underway for domestic cargo and domestic container handling.
• The ICD encompasses 125 acre of land and 50% of it is already developed.
• The warehouse is already constructed, with warehouse space spanning appx. 50,000 square feet.
• For now, two handling lines are available for container handling, out of which one rail line is operational.

Once this multimodal logistics park becomes fully operation, then it can give tough competition to nearby facilities such as that of CONCOR facility at Ludhiana, B2B facility at Kanech, GRFL ICD at Shanewal, and probably the Prinstine Logistics Park at Chawa Pawal near Mandi Govindgarh. This MMLP will act as a major economic gateway, which is to employ developed mechanisation to handle cargos, containers, storage facilities, break and dry bulk along with liquid cargo.

What can we expect from the New Multimodal Logistics Park?
Some of the unique selling points expected are- prime supply management with one window services, custom clearance facility, increaseD modal shares of the associated port, unlock potential of infrastructure plans in the area linked to port-linked services, maintain the prominence of transport arteries of the state and city it will spread connectivity to, and comprehensive freight corridors.
All the EXIM and Domestic containers could be handled here and frequent upgrades may be deployed as per the needs of the industry and trade. Not only will it come to be of great use by small-scale units, but bigger shipper and freight forwarders too stand to benefit. By promising running port connectivity at Mundra, Pipavav & JNPT, it will add on to reduction of transportation costs and multiple handling losses.
It is not too early to say, but consumers and traders can expect excellent transport links at Punjab area to respective north-west port of India.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
