Afghan exports to India doubled since 2016: ACCI

July 22, 2020: Afghanistan exports to Indian market have doubled since 2016 says Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI). Afghan exports to Pakistan just increased slightly during this period. The Afghan business community has requested their government to devise effective strategy to increase exports to regional markets. Afghan businessmen reported serious logistics problems due to closure of border crossing with Pakistan due to COVID-19.

ACCI statistics reveals Afghanistan exported $460 million worth of products to India in 2019 and India remained one of the largest markets for Afghan. Afghan exports to Pakistan last year were $298 million. Overall exports from Afghanistan to the world market were around $1 billion during 2019.
