By managing a record monthly throughput and the largest single vessel exchange, Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), operated by International Container Terminal Services (ICTS) at the Port of Rijeka, Croatia, recently achieved two additional milestones.

The new monthly throughput for AGCT is 11% more than the previous record, which was established in July 2024.

A new single vessel exchange record of 7,120 TEUs was also reached by AGCT while serving the Maersk Huacho. The ship is part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company and Maersk cooperative vessel sharing program, 2M Alliance, which provides direct connections between China and other far eastern Adriatic ports. With 3,193 TEUs that same month, AGCT also set a record on the Ocean Alliance, which is made up of CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen, and OOCL.

After the Red Sea crisis earlier in the year, rail throughput continued to improve, accounting for almost 41% of overall throughput.
