Amazon India is betting big on small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the country and will use its global footprints to export $10 billion worth of ‘Make in India’ products by 2025, said Amazon Chief, Mr Jeff Bezos, who arrived on a visit to India on Tuesday.
Amazon will invest an incremental $1 billion in digitising SMBs in India, he added. To do so, Amazon will establish 100 Digital Haats across India to help businesses integrate into the digital economy. These Digital Haats will provide services like ecommerce onboarding, imaging and cataloguing, warehouse space, logistics, digital marketing, and compliance.
