In our village, cattle are considered an important part of the family. Any discomfort to them is also a discomfort to the owners. In such a case imagine our animal having a life-threatening condition. A veterinary doctor or veterinary service is a boon to have around in such misfortune. Recently Bhagwanbhai Wagh of Rampara had an experience where the veterinary van was of great help. His cow was mauled by a Lion so badly that almost everyone had left hope. Despite the miserable situation, unwilling to let his cattle suffer, Bhagwanbhai called the Mobile Vet Van being operated by APM Terminals Pipavav. The team reached quickly and administered quick aid to the suffering animal. The cow sustained over 90 stiches, while no one could predict the outcome then but slowly the cow began to recover and is now slowly returning to health. Bhagwanbhai says, ‘If not for the Mobile Vet Van facility, my cow was as good as dead. This service is a boon for animal husbandry industry in the district.’ APM Terminals Pipavav operates Mobile Vet Van service in 34 villages of Rajula Taluka of Amerli district. The van makes 12 to 15 rounds in various villages every day; attending to Livestock related emergencies.
