Some of the salient features of the agreement are:

* APSEZ & Wilhelmshaven to identify products & shippers and add value to the supply chain

To share best practices in port operations and technology

The marketing agreement will identify products and shippers which can benefit from the industrial zones and shipping services of container terminals of both ports. The marketing cooperation will also cover sharing of best practices in port operations and technology.

These services add value to the supply chain of various products that pass through the quays of Adani Ports and Wilhelmshaven Port.

APSEZ, at Mundra, also operates the largest port-based SEZ in India.

Freight Village at Wilhelmshaven supplements the container terminal with industrial zones and trimodal transport connections.

Germany figures among the top 10 trade partners of India for both exports and imports. Textiles, metal and metal products, leather and leather goods, food and beverages, machinery, pharmaceuticals, auto components, chemicals and rubber products are the major Indian exports to Germany.

Indian imports from Germany include paper and printing material, machineries, electro technology, chemicals, measurement and control equipment, plastics, medical technology and pharma, the release said.
