Mr Ashish Kumar Bose has assumed charge as Deputy Chairman, Paradip Port Trust. Just prior, he was Traffic Manager, Mumbai Port Trust from July 2016, and earlier held the position of Chief Manager (Traffic), JNPT from December 2013. A port sector veteran, he was also Traffic Manager, Mormugao Port Trust.
Mr Bose is a post graduate in Science from Patna University. He joined the port sector as a Management Trainee at Kolkata Port Trust in January 1986. Thereafter, he was part of Haldia Dock Complex under Kolkata Port Trust as Traffic Officer and worked there in various capacities. He has wide experience in port railway operations, handling of bulk cargo and containers, etc.
