Asian Development Bank to help Tripura develop industrial cities

The infrastructure of industrial cities like Bodhjungnagar, RK Nagar, Dukli, Kumarghat, Dhajnagar, Dewanpasha will be developed.

With the help of Asian development bank (ADB), the Department of Industries of Tripura has taken initiatives to develop the infrastructure of 13 industrial cities of the state. To this end, the government has decided to attract investors from around the world to develop industrial units based on the state’s local natural resources such as rubber, bamboo, tea, gas, agriculture and horticulture crops.

The infrastructure of industrial cities like Bodhjungnagar, RK Nagar, Dukli, Kumarghat, Dhajnagar, Dewanpasha will be developed. About 1,200 acres of industrial areas will be developed. Out of that 800 acres will be industrial plots and remaining 400 acres will be used for road connectivity, water supply, electricity, sewerage, parking, solid waste management, utility ducts, low cost housing, public transport, dispensary, women hostel. More than 500 industrial units are expected to be developed in this project.
