Automobile rake from Jaipur arrives at Marripalem

The first automobile rake from Kanakpura in Jaipur of Rajasthan was received at Visakhapatnam New Goods Complex, Marripalem here on Wednesday.

Recently this goods shed was renovated and opened for handling all types of goods including automobile traffic.

The special freight train has 30 BFR wagons and brought 120 Tata Ace-Gold vehicles to be used by Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Corporation. The initiative is likely to not only generate additional traffic and revenue but is also an initiative to handle a variety of freight traffic. The newly set-up business development unit of Waltair division has played a key in bringing this new traffic.

Waltair Division also recorded another feat, achieving the highest ever loading in a single day in the current financial year. The Division has Loaded 75 Rakes of freight traffic on Tuesday.

In November, this Division loaded 55.6 rakes in a day. But, up to Dec.

22, Waltair Division loaded 60.77 rakes per day to reach new heights.

Divisional Railway Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava appreciated the relentless efforts of Team Waltair for the accomplishment.
