To keep critical commodity prices consistent, the Commerce Ministry has chosen to launch a real-time app to track imports, production, and marketing. At a seminar on market and pricing monitoring during Ramadan in Chattogram, AHM Shafiquzzaman, Director General of the Directorate of National Consumers’ Right Protection (DNCRP) and additional secretary of the Commerce Ministry, announced the decision. He stated that the administration is closely monitoring all levels in order to maintain normal supply and stable prices. “Mill-level monitoring has also been strengthened,” he added.

The DNCRP DG said if the Chattogram port and Khatunganj wholesale market work normally no problem should arise regarding the supply and prices of goods.
