Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India Pvt Ltd, in collaboration with its business partners OM Logistics Ltd and CFS Overseas Warehousing Pvt Ltd, Ludhiana, have commenced dedicated bonded trucking from Ludhiana to Celebi Terminal Delhi IGI Airport, to provide their customers a possibility to move air cargo in an efficient, safe, process-driven and cost-effective manner. The Ludhiana service was launched on February 1, 2017.

Bonded trucking is relatively a new concept in India and Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal has taken a step forward to start a hub-and-spoke project. This bonded trucking service will open tremendous opportunities for airlines to solicit business from stations they are offline.

Commented Ramesh Mamidala, CEO, Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India Pvt Ltd, “We hand pick our logistical operators and manage every aspect of the service for commitment, on-time performance and transparency to guarantee quality of service to our customers.” He opines that bonded trucking is the future in India and is here to stay. “We have launched two products, namely, Express and Consolidated, from July 1, 2018, which cater to different needs of our customers. We have also launched, on May 1, 2018, Celebi’s online Truck Booking App which allows customers to book space on trucks online. This App will facilitate customers to smartly organise their bookings, save cost, offer real-time visibility and in future pay online too.”

“We plan to start bonded trucking from Indore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Durgapur, Pune, Agra, Moradabad and Rishikesh-Roorky belt in 2018. Besides starting temperature-controlled road transport to Delhi from Indore and Ahmedabad, speed, safety and security are the key words that identify our air cargo road transportation bonded service,” Mamidala said.

Celebi’s airline customers can now offer services to a city to which they do not fly an aircraft and the CHA-freight forwarder community can now Customs clear, handle duty drawback and post-shipment documents at origin, while avoiding multiple handling and damage to cargo.

Akash Bansal, Executive Director, Om Logistics, said “Om Logistics is a long-term partner with Celebi for any trucking requirements they wish to offer to their customers anywhere in the country, and are willing to provide customised solution to make it a value proposition for all stakeholders in business… In addition to Celebi’s scheduled trucks operating between city pairs as per scheduled timetable, ad hoc trucks are available upon request.” This service also offers customers enhanced catchment area connectivity.
