[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Chennai International Terminals Pvt Ltd (CITPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PSA International Pte Ltd, was awarded the “Container Terminal Operator of the Year,” and Ms Sushmita Anand Shukla, CITPL’s Senior Manager for Marketing & Corporate Communications, was awarded the accolade of “Woman Professional of the Year” at the 9th South East Cargo & Logistics Awards held in Chennai on 30 June 2017.
This is the second time CITPL has been named “Container Terminal Operator of the Year.” Mr. Mike Formoso, Managing Director of PSA India, said, “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award. CITPL’s award for “Container Terminal Operator of the Year,” together with the award for “Woman Professional of the Year” to Ms Sushmita, are an endorsement of the CITPL team’s commitment to meeting and exceeding port user requirements in an environment of ever increasing competition.
“I would like to congratulate the management, staff and union for their unstinting efforts and convey my thanks to our valued customers and stakeholders. In particular, Chennai Port Trust’s continuing initiatives in infrastructure improvement, as well as the recent extension of vessel-related charge (VRC) concessions, testify to our collective efforts to ensure Chennai retains its status as the East Coast’s premier container port.”
