Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath showcased the emergence of the east UP as a hub of export of agri products by flagging off the first consignments of ‘Langda’ mango, now geographical indication tagged, and green chilly packed at Integrated Pack House for export to Gulf countries.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine year governance at a public meeting at Jagatpur Inter College ground afternoon after showcasing emergence of the east UP as a hub of export of agri products by flagging off the first consignments of ‘Langda’ mango, now geographical indication tagged, and green chilly packed at Integrated Pack House for export to Gulf countries.
A big band of Bharatiya Janata Party leaders led by their Kashi regional unit president Dilip Singh Patel, district chief and MLC Hansraj Vishwakarma, city chief Vidyasagar Rai and other office bearers camped at the venue of the proposed public meeting to finalise the preparations for the CM’s public meet.
Kashi regional unit’s spokesman Navratan Rathi said Union minister SP Singh Baghel and UP minister Surya Pratap Shahi will also be present at Yogi’s public meeting on Monday. Patel, on Sunday, said that in the series of events being organised by the party to mark the completion of Modi government’s nine years, a public meeting will take place for Varanasi parliamentary constituency. The CM is arriving to address the workers and supporters from five assembly areas – City South, City North, Cantt, Rohaniya and Sevapuri- at the meeting in Jagatpur on Monday, said Rathi mentioning that all the necessary preparations to make it a grand show had been completed.
Before addressing the public meeting, Yogi will reach Karkhiyao area to flag off the consignment of Banarasi Langda mangoes and green chilly packed for the first time at Integrated Pack House inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on March 24. The consignment of mangoes will go to Dubai market by Varanasi-Sharjah flight while green chilly consignment will reach Gulf via sea route, said Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) deputy general manager CB Singh.
A 40-foot reefer container containing 30 to 35 tons of green chillies will be transported through sea from Mumbai port to Dubai and Doha, said Singh adding, in the bid of boosting income of farmers by encouraging them to export their produces many initiatives had been taken by APEDA.
In the series of the same initiatives, the IPH for food and vegetable export was also established near LBSI airport, he said adding, it offers single-window clearance for exports and is equipped to handle exports by sea, land, and air. Third after Saharanpur and Lucknow in the state, this IPH had been established in accordance with the global standards. Apart from bringing IPH in 4,461 sq ft area by investing Rs 15.78 crore, the APEDA is also ensuring training of farmers to enable them producing agricultural products according to the demands of the international market.
On the occasion of the flagging off ceremony, Singh said, 10 top exporters of agri products of the country will also be present on the occasion. They will also interact with Farm Producers Organisations (FPOs), he added.
