CMA CGM has announced the expansion of its GUYANAS services to the port of Saint Laurent du Maroni in French Guiana, located on the northeast coast of South America.

The GUYANAS 2 service, which serves Georgetown in Guyana on a weekly basis, will now include a monthly call at Saint Laurent du Maroni. The 2003-built vessel Cedric K will be used in the first sailing to the port of Saint Laurent du Maroni with an expected time of arrival on 23 March 2023.

The French ocean carrier said that exports from Saint Laurent du Maroni will benefit from its international coverage via Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago.

CMA CGM noted that export cargo from North European ports will be loaded onto the 2,200 TEU ship Douce France, which is expected to leave Le Havre on 3 March. Afterward, there will be a connection with Cedric K in Port of Spain on 17 March.
