CMA CGM and Cosco launch Far East – Indian West Coast service

CMA CGM and Cosco Shipping Lines have joined forces for a new container connection between the Far East and the Indian West Coast.

The two companies, which are currently fighting for the third place in world container rankings, will deploy five ships of around 5,000 TEUs. CMA CGM will use four ships and COSCO will use one vessel.

The new link will come on top of AS1, which is a CMA CGM standalone operation, with

Cosco as a slot charterer, according to DynaLiners report.

The service rotations will be as follows:

AS1: Qingdao (China) – Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Shenzhen (China) – Singapore – Nhava Sheva (India) – Mundra (India) – Port Qasim, Karachi (Pakistan) – Singapore – Qingdao

AS2: Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Shenzhen (China) – Singapore – Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Mundra (India) – Nhava Sheva (India) – Singapore – Shanghai (China)
