CMA CGM announces port congestion surcharge from Turkey to Indian Subcontinent

CMA CGM will be implementing a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) of $100 per unit from Mersin, Turkey to Indian Subcontinent.

We inform our customers that we are experiencing important delays in Mersin, Turkey between congestion/waiting time plus berth time on the current vessels berthing sequences with following impacts:

laden cargo lead-time is being increased

empty equipment re-loading / repositioning frequency is affected

operating costs are increased

In this respect, please be informed that CMA CGM will be implementing a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) in Mersin as follows:

From: Mersin, Turkey

To: Indian Subcontinent

Cargo: Dry

Applicable from March 27th, 2023, loading date

Amount: USD 100 per Unit

Any revision in the quantum of this surcharge related to the evolution of the local situation will be communicated with a 7-day notice.
