A Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of $1,500 per unit will be applied from the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf, Red Sea, and Egypt to the US East Coast and Gulf, according to CMA CGM.
For 20′, 40′, and 45′ containers, the surcharge will be $350, $350, and $550, respectively.
The French carrier stated that the extra will apply to all types of containers and will take effect on December 5, 2024, the day of loading, until further notice.
