CMA CGM applies new surcharges from Europe to India, Middle East Gulf and Red Sea

French ocean carrier CMA CGM announced that it will implement the following peak season surcharges, effective from 1 March.

For dry cargo from North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland, Baltic, East & West Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea and North Africa to the Indian ports of Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Hazira, the surcharge will be US$200 per container.

Additionally, the Marseille-based box line will apply a PSS of US$200 per dry container from North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland and Baltic to the Middle East Gulf, Djibouti and Yemen.

Furthermore, the company said that a new peak season surcharge of US$300 per dry box will be introduced from East & West Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea and North Africa to the Middle East Gulf, Djibouti and Yemen.
