The CMA CGM Group marked the maiden call of the INDIAMED / IPM service with a welcoming ceremony for the CMA CGM Virginia vessel on the 3rd July’2017 in the Adani CMA Container terminal in Mundra.
On this occasion were present : Ms Audrey DOLHEN, Managing Director of CMA CGM Group India, Mr Michel AZRAK, Regional Director ISC, APL & Mr Ennarasu KARUNESAN, CEO Adani Mundra ports.
With this new service, the CMA CGM Group offers a superior mainline service, connecting the mainline ports of Nhava Sheva, Mundra & North West India hinterland to the key markets in Red Sea, the Mediterranean and global connections via its hub in Malta.
The launch of this new service also highlights the strategic importance of Gujarat for the CMA CGM Group, with a wide transport offer including our liner & logistics services, CFS operations, Terminals and block trains connecting the North Indian hinterland.
The service will comprise 5 x 4,250TEU vessels operating on fixed day weekly rotation, as follows:
Khor Fakkan – Karachi – Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Djibouti – Jeddah – Damietta – Piraeus – Malta – Aliaga – Mersin – Port Said West – Khor Fakkan.
CMA CGM gathered its customers in Gandhidham and Gujarat for a meeting, where INDIAMED service was presented.
This meeting was also an opportunity to highlight the growth plans of the line in further expansion of its service portfolio, with the launch of the CIMEX 2X service in mid-July, connecting Mundra, Hazira and Nhava Sheva to North Asia and other world-wide destinations via our hubs in Colombo & Singapore & the soon to be established office in Surat to better serve its clientele in South Gujarat.
