As part of its ‘Ocean & Plus’ strategy to enhance ocean service quality continuously in 2019, COSCO Shipping Lines is further improving efficiency and compliance in its documentation services.
If shipping instruction (SI) is received timely and completely, it is ready to offer draft BL in 8 working hours after SI submission, and issue original BL 1 working day after vessel departure, it said in a communiqué.
In March 2019, 99.95 per cent of draft BLs were offered in 8 working hours worldwide. The average turn time is 1.7 hours, the release highlighted.
In order to optimise document services, COSCO Shipping Lines has taken a series of new measures:
* Building global documentation teams to improve service professionalism on BL preparation and issuance
* Offering one-stop online document solution
* Enhancing global document compliance management to better avoid potential risks
* Strengthening operational capability to support customer’s personalised document requirements
