The Customs Clearance service of Avvashya CCI (ACCI), an Allcargo subsidiary and India’s leading Supply Chain Management Company has been conferred with the prestigious Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) – LO Certificate (Custom Broker) status by The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
“The conferment of this coveted award is a recognition of our long-held commitment to empowering our customers with advanced supply chain solutions. The status bestows on us an internationally recognized quality mark and places us in the global league of world-class cargo management service providers,” stated Deepal Shah, CEO, ACCI Logistics
The AEO status has been granted to ACCI’s Customs Clearance service for its commitment to adhering with safety and compliance parameters in alignment with the World Customs Organization (WCO)’s SAFE Framework of Standards.
Launched by the Indian Customs Department in 2011, the AEO program is in harmony with the “SAFE Framework” developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO). The AEO program encompasses various members in the international supply chain such as importers, exporters, warehouse owners, customs brokers, forwarders and carriers. The efficiency and compliance standards of their Customs procedures are required to be certified by these players.
The objective of the AEO Program is to provide businesses with an internationally recognized ‘quality mark’ indicating their commitment to security in the international supply chain. Entities that receive an AEO status are considered a ‘secure’ trader and a reliable trading partner’.
Allcargo’s Container Freight Stations and Inland Container Depots – two at JNPT, one each at Chennai, Mundra Port and Dadri (NCR) have also been awarded the AEO status.
