With continuous efforts by the trade fraternity to outreach the highs of Tuticorin Port on every level of port and terminal operations, DBGT is proud to accommodate MV. MSC PETRA with LOA 299.95m & Arrival Draught of 10.0m on May 13, 2022, the lengthiest container vessel ever called in the history of Tuticorin Port by surpassing the earlier feat of vessel with 277m LOA.
The ADHOC call is operated by MSC Agency (India) Pvt. Ltd. MSC PETRA with load capacity of about 6627 TEU’s, arrived from “Reunion” under “Extra Vessels Service” is the largest container carrier ever called V.O.C. Port – Tuticorin. The vessel berthed at DBGT on 13.05.2022 @ 08.15 Hrs, had total throughput of 1543 crane moves at Tuticorin prior departing to Singapore on 14.05.2022 @ 0900 Hrs.
