Delhi Customs Brokers Association forms new managing committee

The new Managing Committee’s prime objective and activities for the ensuing two years would be trade facilitation measures by the Customs, respective authorities and custodians.

The new Managing Committee of Delhi Customs Brokers Association (DCBA), which was elected with a thumping majority votes of the Association members on May 8, 2022 for the term 2022-24 had its first MC meeting on May 13, 2022. In this meeting the MC has declared that their prime objective and activities for the ensuing two years would be trade facilitation measures by the Customs, respective authorities and custodians. At the same time, collaborating with Customs, government agencies and all other stake holders DCBA would initiate massive awareness and training programmes for its own members for the larger interest of increasing the international trade of the country.

“We are immensely encouraged by the support from our members and committed to deliver their expectations from us. We are also committed to continue the good works of our predecessors/previous Executive Committees for the betterment of the trade,” said Mr Puneet Jain, President, DCBA.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Devendra Singh Bhadoria highlighted that the overwhelming support to the new team has posed additional responsibilities to address emerging challenges and requirements of the fraternity. According to him, in view of the fact that CBs are undergoing difficulties due to new business eco-system pertaining to Customs broking business, the new MC of DCBA will initiate more activities towards enhancing the skill and domain knowledge of its members to cope with the changing scenario to stay afloat. The DCBA Hony. Secretary also informed that the Association has entered the Golden Jubilee year in 2022 and the same will be celebrated this year through various programmes/events, etc.The DCBA MC has also chalked out port-wise activities through Sub-committees, so that members can directly connected with the MC for any issues and to resolve the same at the ground zero level.
