December 2, 2020: By the end of 2021, railways will commence 45% of DFC from Kanpur in UP to Palanpur in Gujarat, thereby esablishing connectivity to Kandla, Pipavav and Mundra ports. A 353km stretch from bhaupur to Khurja in the eastern DFC and Rewari to Madar on the western DFC will be opened for traffic this month.
The Madar Palanpur section will be complete by March 2021, Khurja to Dadri section by June, Rewari to Dadri section by December 2021, thus direct connectivity of DFC from Kanpur to Palanpur will be opreational by December 2021 and the above mentioned three ports are already connected to Palanpur.
